Tell us about how il Rosato di Toscana was born.
You often think that rosé wine is a new phenomenon in Tuscany, but that is not true. In Chianti Classico, wine growers have made rosé wine since way back. Often the grapes that did not reach full maturity, and therefore were not suitable for red wine, were used to make rosé. Today, in order to reach the desired quality, we select the grapes for our rosé very carefully.

It is a rosé made from Sangiovese which is very suitable for making rosé wine of good quality. It has a refreshing note of red berries and an irresistible freshness.
How is it best enjoyed?
This is a Summer wine to enjoy in the sun and in nice company. It has an elegant character and is also suitable with light summer dishes.
What are the best food pairings?
We serve il Rosato all summer long. It is an excellent buffet wine and very versatile. Serve it with the Tuscan bread salad Panzanella for example or with a fresh Summer salad with mozzarella, tomato and basil.
