Follow road 222 from Florence southbound to the village of Greti. At the turn of to the left, there is a Catholic little altar, a Madonna, and a large sign “TERRENO”.

From Firenze
Take route 222 towards Siena. When you leave Greti, take the exit left signposted “Terreno” and continue up the gravel road for 900 m till you reach Terreno.
From Siena
Take route 222 northbound towards Firenze. Continue 2km past Greve in Chianti and then take a sharp right signposted “Terreno” and continue up the gravel road for 900m.
By bus or taxi
We recommend going by car to and from Terreno, but there are a few options.
Taxi
Taxi goes from Firenze, costs about 60-80 euros depending on time of day. There are no taxis in Greve so the best thing is to let the driver wait at Terreno during your visit. We recommend to get a fixed price in advance for the whole trip. Taxi in Firenze +39 055 4242.
Bus
Bus departs next to the Santa Maria Novella train station. You can find the time table here. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs about € 5. Get off the bus in Greti in Chianti and follow signs for Terreno. It is 900 meters uphill so good shoes and a bottle of water is recommended for the walk.
